Tell Your Story

Do you have a testimony that you want to share? If so, you’ve found a great place to tell others about it.

Here’s how.

Step #1: Read this site’s mission and belief statements

You’ll find the statements here. Only testimonies that are in line with the site’s mission and belief statements will be published on the site.

Step #2: Decide what sort of testimony you want to write

There are many types of testimonies, and the average Christian has many stories to share (you just might not know it yet!). Visit the testimony themes page to learn more about the wide variety of Christian testimonies.

Step #3: Write your story in 500 words or less.

This is the tough part. It equals approximately one single-spaced typed page. The goal is to write your story as briefly as possible. Online, readers have shorter attention spans. This means you might need to do several revisions of your story, and trim it back until it reaches the word limit.

Step #4: E-mail your story to this site at wetestify@gmail.com.

At this time, we won’t accept any attachments or photographs, so please paste your testimony into the body of your e-mail. Be sure to suggest which of the testimony theme(s) apply.  Also, you must include your full name, your e-mail address, and your city, state, and country.  You may request that we omit your last name for the post, but you must provide it in the e-mail.  We will never include your e-mail address in the post.

Step #5: Be on the lookout for your story (and the fine print)

This site cannot publish all testimonies that are submitted to it. Sometimes, testimonies will not line up with its mission or belief statements, or they will not meet the submission guidelines outlined here.

In addition, there will be times when the response overwhelms the administrator’s abilities to post testimonies in a timely fashion. Sometimes, there will simply be too many submissions at one time. If you submit once and your testimony isn’t posted within two weeks, please send a follow-up e-mail to inquire. Do not re-submit your testimony story.

The owner of this site reserves the right to refuse publication to anyone who submits a story, even though it might appear to meet the above criteria. Should a testimony be posted on the site, it also might be taken down at any time, at the site owner’s discretion. The writer may also request to have the testimony removed from the site at any time. Please make the request via e-mail to the site administrator.

The site administrator will not act as an editor, so do not submit unedited work, expecting it to be “fixed.” If a work does not meet certain publishable standards, the site administrator reserves the right to refuse to post it. Also, when publishing the testimony, the administrator might make minor changes involving only removing or adding paragraph breaks, adding a title, censoring personal or potentially offensive material, or re-categorizing the theme.
